Son in US

I am glad to say that my son sujay is visiting me here in the US, he is on a summer break from his school in india.

He is keeping me busy with his stories/views on games. He also is keeping me busy in the evening with outdoor games such as basket ball. he is a basketball fanatic.

He keeps me posted on the latest in the gaming world and always trying to trick me into buying all kinds of consoles....right now he has a WII and DS gaming consoles....i am a trying to make him understand that it is quite sufficient as it might start interfering with his ciricullum in school

Hope he gets the message

Good luck to him.

Rest later.

Feels good to be back......spring too

Well, it appears spring is on its way. For once i thought we were out of winter when we started having days at 50 degrees...God the winter stuck again and never left since then. Now i heard warm weather is on its way....hopefully....if you believe the weather guys.

Well the thought of how we lived in a tropical country like india for 26 years amazes me...because consciously i dont remember having looked at weather before doing anything fun or serious. Here in this part of the country, i look at weather almost every day in winter....and plan my days outing based on weather...what to wear, where to eat...where to vacation...when to drive, how to go..(conveyance) etc etc... Weather is an all important factor....anyway let me not bug you on weather.

pl. join me in welcome spring atlast :)

Winter miseries

Winter is all here in its fullest form here in SW michigan. I have been living more than 5 years and virtually have seen 5 winters....belive me it aint pretty anymore....i mean look at the people around you. The other day i was out with my friends to a restuarant and we looked at the people around us....nobody seemed to be happy....there is this grim sadness in their faces....what is it....i and my friends started pondering and voila.....here is what we concluded....the weather. winter in this part of the country has not bought happiness....instead the feeling of lonliness and depression ( i didnt want to say this at the beginning.....i am forced to)

Depression brings with it the whole package of miseries!! No offence to the skiers and other winter sports lovers. It does stink in the winter...with the long cold nights and ha weekends...they are the worst. i prefer to work on the weekends if everyone comes to work.

well not everyone might agree, try it and you will mostly agree. I know people who have lived in this part of the country all their lives....they simply DONT like it here.

There is something about he sunshine which brings out life in us....the hope and the spirit of life brings about happiness which lacks in winter dullness.

cheers :)
